INTERNATIONAAL WEEKEND november 13th & 14th 2010

Last November, the NBTC again successfully organized an International Weekend. The great interest that this event enjoys the board of the NBTC decided to organize this again.

The International Weekend 2010 will be held on 13 & 14 November. At Saturday November 13 we start with the Championship Clubmatch (open for all) and on Sunday November 14, the Country Competition will be held.

This year’s show is at the same venue as last year, Hotel Nuland, Rijksweg 25, 5391 LH, Nuland.

The program for the weekend will begin on Saturday with the Championship Clubmatch (open for all) where the winner of both the males and the females 2 CAC can win. The reserve winners both the dogs and the bitches get 1 CAC. The best dog on the day is given the title Club Winner 2010. The judges for the Championship Club match are mr. Chris Kilpatrick of the Kilacabar kennel ( UK ), mr. David Jones from the Navada kennel (SA) and mrs. Jo Phillips and mr. Mark Phillips from the Bullyon kennel ( UK ), all those judges are well known in Bull Terrier circles.

The program for the Saturday will change. We will start the show at 9 o’clock and first we have the males and then the bitches. We did this so that we can use a much bigger ring and the audience can see all the dogs. The babies, puppies and juniorclass have there own ring and the also will start at 9 o’clock. The outline for the judges is:

-babyclass-, puppyclass- en juniorclass males mr.Mark Phillips
-babyclass-, puppyclass- en juniorclass bitches mrs.Jo Phillips
-intermediateclass-, openclass-, championclass- en veteranclass males mr.Chris Kilpatrick
-intermediateclass-, openclass-, championclass- en veteranclass bitches mr.David Jones

Because of the rules of the Kennel Club the judges are not allowed to judge more than 70 dogs (max.73). We get no dispensation for this. So the organization keeps the right to change something in this outline. So don’t wait till the closing date because it’s possible that some classes will close earlier.

Entry closing date: 17 October 2010

On saturday night, there will be a party including a buffet followed by a nice dance evening. In the past, our DJ provided a very festive tone for the evening.  We expect the same this year. You can sign up for this party using the attached form.

On Sunday is the Country Competition. For this event, countries send over teams to represent their country. The following judges will preside over this event: Mrs. Jan Dykema ( USA ), Mr. Jamie Watkiss (Aus) and Mr. Josef Schneider (A). The judges will make their opinions independently of each other under the rules that have been designed to facilitate fair and objective results. The points system is easy to understand for both participants and spectators. For the participating countries, they are asked to create a team of eight of their best quality Bull Terriers. Each country is free to determine which dogs they delegate; the only requirements are that the animal fits the age of its category and of course the dog must have been bred in the country in which it represents. For the Dutch delegation, the Board appoints a Committee of 5 persons who put together the Dutch team.
